Jane Reporting for 2nd September
Nearly 7am and time to update the blog for yesterday, Monday 2nd September. Gary is sound asleep, happy as a lark because we left the aircon off last night. Me, I'm half-way to being a roast potato already!
Yesterday we headed off to Denny Dayton's place for our first Ragdoll research visit of the trip. Here I am with Denny as he unearths his 'loot':

Like last time we had a great visit with Denny and loved looking through his Ragdoll memorabilia. We then popped up to say hello to Nadine and Sam, Denny's friends and neighbours, and discovered Nadine was working on her hand-stitched quilt. I just can't imagine how many hours must have gone into this:

We got back to Glendale about 6pm (but our internal clocks must still be a bit wonky as it felt like mid-afternoon) and strolled down the road to the Green Dragon restaurant for tea. On the walk home I discovered this instruction stencilled on the footpath:

What a good idea! I went back to the motel and did just that.
In news from home our older cat, Sam, has accepted the house sitters (five weeks ahead of last year's schedule!) and the younger, Mocha, (whose acceptance was never really in doubt) is already snuggling in bed with them. Thank you Lloyd and Anne. We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you guys being there. :o)
