We left the motel about 8.30, after Gary had checked the car, and made sure all the windows were clean.
We headed east into overcast weather. No sun glasses today. All the way it looked like it was going to rain just like yesterday.
Fortunately the weather brightened slightly as we continued across New York state.
Soon we crossing to the north of Albany and dropping down into Troy (not the place of heroic battles).
From here we were soon in Vermont and on winding, two lane road much like those back home.
Through Vermont into New Hampshire we had roads snaking their way bushland interspersed with the occasional farm ....
small towns.....
interesting buildings....
churches...
and many typical old American houses....
The trees closed in on us and then after many miles they opened again and we were in Jaffery at our B&B. The Benjamin Prescott Inn circa 1853.....
complete with old stables....
and horses...
And now to end the day, a chocolate box picture complete with power poles.
