Up this morning early. Five circuits of the Promenade Deck. Even at six in the morning the temperature on deck is twenty six degrees. It was nice to get back to my nice cool cabin. While cooling down I got an email off to Canada. After a shower I dressed in my going ashore clothes--long sleeves and cargo trousers, both light weight to protect me from the sun and be comfortable in the heat. Then up to breakfast to discover that today was another day at sea. Aruba is tomorrow. Now I understand why today's list 'what's on' had several talks about what to do,see, and buy in Aruba. Each evening we receive a four page 'Holland and America Explorer', a page newsletter outlining what is on the next day.
Now some more scenes around the Amsterdam.
The Queen's Lounge Theatre--tonight is a magic show.
The la Fontaine dinning room is at the rear of the ship or aft and is spread over two decks.
Dinning with a sea view.
We have three sets of elevators and stairs throughout the ship to help navigate the nine decks. A total of twelve very fast and smooth riding elevators.
One of the lounges as you walk along deck 5. I am sitting in one the seats typing this blog.
I finished up my second day at sea by going to an excellent magic come comedy show in the ships theatre--he had us in fits of laughter and the magic was good too.
Tomorrow is really Aruba.
